Only Fellows from BRAVS/SBRV accredited services are allowed to submit papers for the RETINA START Sessions.

RETINA START will take place on April 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
Presentation dynamics: 3 (three) minutes for presentation + 3 (three) minutes for discussion

To access the Case submission e-form the author must complete the e-registration form first. One of the authors must be fully registered in the congress; however, the payment can be made on a later step. The author can come back to his/her registration in the system and make the payment according to the registration fee correspondent to his/her category and date of payment. Information regarding the corresponding author (address, department, institution, email) must be complete and the email address valid, as all communication will take place through this email. It is not mandatory that authors are BRAVS members.

To submit a Case the author must selected the form of presentation:

  • RETINA START – Clinical Case
  • RETINA START – Surgical Case PPT
  • RETINA START – Surgical Case V√≠deo

The abstract must be in English and contain a short description of the case to be presented and it is mandatory that the abstract title be identical to the attached file (slide or video).

When uploading a ppt/keynote file:

Page setup: Presentation should be in landscape orientation with a screen ratio of 16:9

File format:The presentation must be in the PPT or KEYNOTE.
Limitations:File size should not exceed 8 Megabytes. There is no limit for number of slides however, keep in mind that the author has 3 (three minutes) for presentation.

When uploading a video:

Video format: MP4. Acceptable file size: up to 100MB
Language: when narrated, the language must be English. Videos must be submitted in their final edited form.

Authors are responsible for obtaining written authorization regarding use of copyrighted music or materials and agree to indemnify and defend BRAVS from all claims based on copyright infringement.

When submitting a Case, authors automatically accept all regulations and authorize BRAVS to publish it nationally and internationally in their printed and electronic medias with no payment involved.

Abstracts and attached files may be revised at any time from the beginning of the process until either the deadline of 09:00 pm (Brazil time) february 3, 2020 or until the author finalizes it. In no event, the Scientific Committee or the Executive Secretariat will perform corrections, substitutions or make any changes in the abstracts.

Do not submit a Case if it is not your intention to attend the congress.

All Cases submitted in compliance to BRAVS rules will be analyzed by the congress committee and 10 best cases will be selected for presentation. The decisions of the Committee will be considered final.

Notification of acceptance will sent to the correspondent author by March 16, 2020 by email.
